5272f9292d005.imageAbout 300 of Tucson’s business and financial leaders gathered at the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa for Inside Tucson Business’s inaugural Chief Financial Officer Awards.

ITB teamed with Financial Executives and Affiliates of Tucson to craft a set of criteria to evaluate local CFOs for their work with their companies or organizations and in the Tucson community.

ITB selected 14 finalists from dozens of nominations in four categories: Small business; Large business; nonprofits; and government and education.

All of the finalists were exceptional, but the judges assembled by FEAT, picked one CFO in each category to single out for special recognition.

The winners and their companies or organization are:

Small Business: John Wieland with Randall & Richards, 5151 E. Broadway Blvd., a commercial debt recovery company.

Large Business: Larry Minich with Mister Car Wash, a national car wash chain based in Tucson.

Non-Profit: Celia Hightower with El Rio Community Health Center, 3480 E. Britannia Dr.

Government/Education: Ricky Hernandez with Pima County School Superintendent’s Office
