Clay Lambert selected as Wick editorial director

Clay Lambert, managing editor of the Half Moon Bay Review for the past four years, has agreed to accept the additional responsibilities as Wick's editorial director, effective immediately.

Clay will continue to serve as managing editor of the Review.

John Mathew, CEO of Wick Communications, said, "I appreciate Clay's willingness to take on the additional duties and know he will do a good job and make a good contribution.  I also appreciate Deb Godshall's willingness for Clay to devote the time to group wide projects"

As editorial director, Clay will critique newspapers, make site visits, host a blog with best editorial practices on our web site, help plan editorial conferences, be a resource for helping publishers screen top editorial prospects and other duties.

Clay, 45, is has a journalism degree from Colorado State University.  He worked for two decades as a reporter and editor fo the Gannett and Cox organizations prior to joining the Half Moon Bay Review.  In the last two years, the Review has won more than 30 top awards from the California Newspaper Publishers Association, and his former Review reporters work at the Wall Street Journal, Google News and elsewhere.
 
He is the proud father of a 10-year-old daughter.
