There are changes at the department head level at the Half Moon Bay Review. One brings back a familiar face on the Coastside; the other is a new title for an old hand.

Linda Pettengill has returned as the newspaper’s advertising manager. Pettengill is well known to Review advertisers. She worked for the Review previously both as an advertising representative and ad director.

Under her leadership earlier this decade, the newspaper flourished, meeting and exceeding revenue goals.

“I love the Coastside and I love advertising, so this is the perfect combination for me,” said Pettengill, who has worked in other marketing and advertising positions in the area since leaving the Review several years ago. “The best part of all is to be working on the Review team again. I'm looking forward to it very much.”

“We are thrilled to have Linda join us as our ad manager at the Review,” Publisher Bill Murray said. “Her work ethic and professionalism will be great assets to the paper. She comes with previous experience in the position, and her knowledge of our community will certainly give us a leg up.”

Meanwhile, Murray announced Wednesday that longtime Managing Editor Clay Lambert had been promoted to the position of editor. The change is subtle, and reflects Murray’s confidence in his experienced editorial team more than an overhaul in duties.

“As managing editor, Clay had continually shown his dedication to the editorial content of the Review and has been very successful mentoring and developing the writing staff,” Murray said.

Lambert has been with the Review for seven years and continues in his dual role as editorial director for Wick Communications.
