Stanford journalism program gives nod to Review

Why should you seek a degree from Stanford University’s elite graduate program in journalism? Well, for one thing, the program has helped place students at the Half Moon Bay Review upon graduation.

So notes Stanford Department of Communications Director Ann Grimes in a recent promotional video. Grimes ticks off some of the better known media companies in the world, including Dow Jones, Aljazeera and Facebook before mentioning that her graduates have also found work at the Half Moon Bay Review. On the video, the Review logo briefly shares space with some of the most well-known brands in the world.

Stanford is one of the nation’s premier universities and has grown a reputation for producing tech-savvy graduates who have brought new skills to the practice of journalism.

The Review currently employs one program graduate. Lily Bixler covers schools, the environment and other issues for the Review.
