The Daily Herald and The Lake Magazine advertising team and creative department took home nine awards in the Daily Division/Circulation under 15,000 from the North Carolina Press Association’s 2011 Advertising Contest.

Two first place awards were earned in the categories of Best Shared Page in a Niche Publication and Best Use of Color.

A second place award was earned for Best Color Restaurant/Entertainment Ad, and six third place awards were earned in the categories of Best Real Estate Ad in a Niche Publication, Best Niche Publication, Best Retail Ad in a Niche Publication, Best Single Sheet Insert, Best Institutional Ad and Best Community Service Signature Page or Best Shared Page.
