LaPlace is the hardest hit following Hurricane Isaac

LaPlace is the hardest hit of our locations following Hurricane Isaac. Severe flooding has impacted the community and the city is without power, water, phones and internet.

Publisher Sandy Cunningham and several staffers are working from the home of employee Rhett Triche, who lives in Reserve, La., and has power, updating the web site and hope to resume publication next Wednesday. Several employees have water in homes and have had to be evacuated.

Offices in other locations have power and resumed a normal schedule today.
