Health Benefits Enrollment for 2013

Eligible employees may enroll in the health benefits offered by Wick Communications in November.

During this period, November 1 to November 30, you may do the following:

  • Enroll for the first time provided you will have worked at least 60 days by December 31, 2012
  • Change the coverage level of your benefits
  • Add or remove dependents including domestic partners

This is the only time during the year you may do these things without a qualifying event.

If you want medical insurance in 2013 you must re-enroll on-line.

In 2013 Wick will change Blue Cross Blue Shield providers. We will move from BCBS Anthem to BCBS of Alabama.  The Plan options will change. You must re-enroll if you want medical insurance. The Blue Cross Blue Shield network you use will not change. You will not need to change doctors or hospitals if you are in the current Blue Cross Blue Shield network. You will receive a new insurance card with a new number and new customer service numbers. You will need to give this information to your doctor on or after January 1, 2013.

The pharmacy network is Express Scripts. This is the same network we use currently: however, Express Scripts in not part of BCBS of Alabama. As a result, you will receive a new pharmacy card. You will need to give this information to your pharmacy for prescriptions on or after January 1, 2013.

If you use a Flexible Spending Account you must re-enroll online for 2013.
