The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman has added a seasoned sales and marketing professional to its staff.

Wasilla resident Cheryl Metiva joins the Frontiersman team on Monday as director of advertising and marketing. “It is a privilege to take on the challenge of this position at the Frontiersman, which has such deep roots and a rich tradition in this community,” Metiva said. “I am excited to be working in the Valley again, and I look forward to renewing some great relationships.”Metiva has lived in Wasilla since 2004. She is married to Marty Metiva, executive director of the Mat-Su Resource Conservation and Development Council and former Wasilla City Council member.
