McCombs promoted to Daily Press General Manager

The Montrose Daily Press has promoted its circulation and classified advertising manager, Tisha McCombs, to general manager, publisher Francis Wick has announced.In her new role, McCombs will be responsible for overseeing the newspaper's business office, as well as its information technology, circulation and classified advertising departments. Ultimately, Wick said, she will assume responsibility for display advertising and production, as well."McCombs embodies the drive and passion we seek in leadership - she's an excellent community participant and a vehement believer that the Press has extraordinary potential to do good for Montrose," Wick said."I couldn't be more excited about this promotion. It's good for her, the Press and Montrose."McCombs is a Georgia native who has spent several years living in Montrose. She has previous experience with the Elko (Nev.) Daily Free Press, The Island Packet (Hilton Head, S.C.) and The Beaufort (S.C.) Gazette. She became the business manager for the Daily Press in November 2010. She was promoted to circulation and classified advertising manager in December 2011."I am very excited to have this opportunity to help lead the Daily Press and serve our community," she said. "Anyone who knows me or has heard me speak about what we do at the Daily Press knows how passionate I am about our role in our community, and I look forward to continuing to grow with the Montrose Daily Press."McCombs is in her second term as a board member for the Montrose Recreation District. She also coaches youth soccer.
