The Review also won first price in layout and design, as well as for Marc Hershon’s cartoons on the weekly editorial pages. The Review was honored with second place for general excellence, an award that measures the news organization in its entirety.In addition, the Review received “blue ribbon” honorable mention for another of Hershon’s cartoons, for editorial commentary by Clay Lambert, for a photo essay compiled by former Review photographer Charlie Russo and for environmental reporting by Mark Noack.“Every year the Review wins awards from the state press association and every year it is gratifying to be honored by our peers,” said Editor Clay Lambert. “We consider each and every one of these awards to be team awards because none of us accomplishes anything without the work of the entire newspaper family.”The CNPA is the state’s largest press association.-- from staff reports[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
