falcons090814lb001NEW IBERIA, La. — Daily Iberian reporter Horace Holloman III oftentimes arrives at work in a good mood, ready to start the day, but there was a little more spring in his step as he approached the managing editor's office the morning of Monday, Sept. 8.Managing Editor Jeff Zeringue, however, was fit to be tied ... Atlanta Falcon tied, that is.A friendly wager between Holloman and Zeringue was made as their favorite teams faced off in the NFL season opener Sunday, Sept. 7. Zeringue's New Orleans Saints fell to Holloman's Falcons in overtime. The loser of the bet had to wear a tie with the opponent's logo all day Monday.“God is teaching me humility,” Zeringue quipped.Holloman earned the right for a little trash talking on Monday as the Falcons topped the Saints 37-34. He was quick to compliment Zeringue on his choice of accessories for the day — Holloman's Atlanta Falcons tie.All in all, it was a good fun in The Daily Iberian's newsroom.
