Daily News receives Press Association Award from the North Dakota American Legion

The presentation took place at the Annual American Legion Winter Convention held in Bismarck this weekend during the Press Association Awards luncheon. Jim DeVries, Wahpeton Hafner-Miller American Legion Post 20 adjutant, nominated the Daily News for running photos of American Legion events, printing submitted articles or having a reporter cover events and for doing an excellent job reporting on American Legion Boys State, along with the Wahpeton VFW Post and Breckenridge, Minnesota, Military Unit. ‘I am honored to accept this award on behalf of the Daily News and our excellent staff and am grateful and humbled to have even been considered for this prestigious award,’ Harty said.
