Sierra Vista launches new site

The Sierra Vista Herald launched a redesigned site at www.SVHerald.com.

The new site is the first in Wick Communications Co. to use the Associated Press Custom News tool and Associated Press Video program.

AP Custom News allows newspaper Web sites to dynamically display the latest AP headlines. Users who click through to the full AP story get a page that looks nearly identical to the parent SVHerald.com site that can serve locally sold advertising.

AP Video is a prgram to dynamically display Associated Press broadcast services on member Web sites. The video program is similar to Custom News in that customers see a page uniquely branded for the SVHerald.com parent site, but locally sold ads cannot be served on the AP Video pages. Instead AP pays participants $4 CPM for traffic on the video site. Currently the AP Video program only works on Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers.
