SNA 2010 Web Site Contest Winners Announced!

‘Tucson Weekly’ Blog Nabs SNA Top Honors

The Range: The Tucson Weekly’s Old Pueblog earned top honors in the Suburban Newspapers of America’s annual 2010 Community Web Site Contest.

The Range placed first in Category D (sites produced by a non-daily newspaper or non-daily newspaper group with a total circulation of 100,000 or under) for Best Blog Initiatives. The judges, from Borrell Associates, noted: “We are impressed with the organization of the site. The easy navigation and writing of the blogs makes for an enjoyable user experience.”

The Weekly’s blog was launched in 2006, and was renamed The Range last year. The Range features an average of 5 to 10 entries per day—and most of those entries are exclusive online content.
