New Iberia press pictures and open house

“This new press, the installation of new pre-press equipment and other recent projects that we’ve done to our building over the past couple of years represent an investment in this operation of close to a million dollars,” reports Daily Iberian publisher Will Chapman, “showing our confidence and optimism about this community, and our business, in the years to come. This new press will provide a higher level of printing quality and offer increased color capabilities.”

Stringent specifications related to the foundation beneath the new Goss Community printing press necessitated it going on the same footprint as the existing press. That foundation was specially constructed to meet strict press standards.

“We’re going to print earlier in the day than we’re accustomed to,” Managing Editor Jeff Zeringue said, “so our employees are going to certainly have our lives changed. But it’s clearly for the best of the newspaper.”
