Gustav : New Iberia update

We have power restored at The Daily Iberian.

Much the parish is still without power, but is rapidly coming back. Will asks me to send word to you all that D.I. folks should be making their way back. Parish officials are not stopping anyone at the parish line. If they can report to work tomorrow (Wednesday) they should try. If they are unable, they should be able to make their way back home Wednesday. Should they need help checking out areas of the parish, they can call the office and we can do our best to get more information over to them.
 
Thankfully, the water from rain today flooded many streets, but did not make it into any homes that we know of right now. Folks in Delcambre are still a little worried because the water is high and the drainage is slow.
