President and CEO John M. Mathew is president and chief executive officer of Wick Communications Co. and a member of the company's board of directors. He joined the company in April 2001 and lives in Sierra Vista, Arizona, where Wick is headquartered.
Mathew served as president of Boone Newspapers, Inc., from 1988 until joining Wick and was publisher of three Boone properties--The Natchez (Miss.) Democrat, the Ironton (Ohio) Tribune and the Pella (Iowa) Chronicle. He is a native of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and holds a journalism degree from Drake University.
Mathew previously served three terms as president of the Inland Press Foundation.

Group Manager, Eagle One Will Chapman is publisher of The Daily Iberian, a six-day daily in New Iberia, La., and a weekly, The Jeanerette (La.) Enterprise. He is also Eagle One group manager for Wick Communications, working with daily and weekly newspapers in North Carolina, Louisiana and New Mexico. Chapman started with Wick Communications in May 1980 when he was hired as advertising manager for The Daily Iberian.
He is a third-generation newspaperman, following both of his grandfathers and his father into the newspaper business. Heís a native of Bastrop, La. and holds a journalism degree from Louisiana State University. Before joining Wick, Chapman worked for Louisianaís largest metro paper in New Orleans when he was with the Times-Picayune, and for two of its smaller weeklies in Baker and Zachary, La.
Chapman is a past president of the Louisiana Press Association and has served for years as secretary-treasurer of the Louisiana Daily Newspaper Publishersí Association.

Group Manager, Team Titanium J. Kennon's entire newspaper career has been with Wick, starting in 1983 when she was an advertising sales representative at the News Banner.
J later spent three years as the advertising director of the Bogalusa Daily News; seven years managing the sales department of PN Printing; five years as Publisher of L'Observateur; and since 2000 has been the group manager of Team Titanium and publisher of The News Banner in Covington.
In 2004, J also became publisher of The Daily News in Bogalusa, LA. and now manages the printing operations of the four Louisiana newspapers. She also added the duties of president of St. Tammany News in 2005 when The News-Banner and Slidell Sentry-News were consolidated.
Team Titanium is made up of semi-weekly newspapers in Louisiana and the Pontchartrain Newspapers classified call center and printing plant.
J and her husband, William, reside in Mandeville, La., and have one daughter, Nikki, who lives with her family in Georgia.

Group Manager, Copper Group Tom Lee is Copper Group manager for Wick Communications Company. He also serves as publisher of Inside Tucson Business, the Tucson Weekly, and the Daily Territorial.
Lee joined Wick Communications Company in April 2000. In addition to Tucson, Lee's group includes the company's daily and weekly newspapers in Sierra Vista, Bisbee, Green Valley, Nogales, Benson, Willcox, Safford, Sonoita, Clifton, Lake Havasu City, Parker, and Sahuarita.
Lee and his wife, Leslie, are the parents of twin daughters, Dana and Tessa. Lee's early career included working as a reporter and later section editor at the Tucson Citizen. Leslie is a native of Tucson.
Lee has been publisher in Martinsburg, W.V., and was in various editing roles at newspapers in Wisconsin, California, and Arizona. He is a native of Savannah, Missouri, where his parents and grandparents edited and published community newspapers.

Group Manager David Lewis oversees five Wick operations in four states (South Dakota, Oregon, Colorado, and California). He’s a veteran newspaper publisher who enjoys the everyday personnel, operational and community issues that newspapers deal with…along with the excitement that comes from long-term, “what if” planning projects that strengthen our franchises.
His career, prior to joining Wick Communications in September 2006, includes serving as Publisher/CEO of a Denver suburban group, a daily/weekly suburban cluster in Indianapolis, a daily/shopper/tmc cluster around Auburn, CA., and a cluster of two dailies, two big shoppers and several weeklies in southeast Iowa. He also has held advertising management positions in Iowa, Tennessee and Washington, DC.
Lewis has been active for a couple decades with the Inland Press Association, primarily as chair and presenter in its well-known “Costs and Revenues” study and materials. He sees these materials as helpful operational benchmarks and guidelines to enhancing our publications.
Educationally, Lewis started out in the news side and was a news-editorial major when earning his Bachelor of Journalism at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He later embraced the “other side” of newspapers and earned an MBA from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
Outside of work, Lewis is an avid traveler and sports enthusiast. He plays competitive tennis in leagues and tournaments, is working on his golf game and loves to attend college and pro sports events. His wife, Suzanne, has a doctorate in psychology and has worked as a counselor and therapist. They have two college-age daughters that give them energy and joy.

Production Director Scott Green is Production Director of Wick Communications Company. .
Scott joined the company in February 2002 as the Production Manager of the Sierra Vista Herald/Bisbee Daily Review. Scott came from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where he has been involved in many aspects of the production environment. He has been in the industry for 23 years.
Scott was named Production Director in October 2006.

Advertising Director Cindy Hefley, a career executive in major and national account sales and sales management, joined Wick Communications Company as director of advertising in 2010.
Hefley's primary role is handling national advertising sales for all Wick locations. She also works with publishers and advertising managers to increase sales in their respective markets.
Hefley is a native of Kansas and studied journalism at Washburn University and Kansas State University before working in ad sales and sales management at the Wichita Eagle from 1981 to 1988. She then joined Tucson Newspapers, where she was promoted six times during a 15-year tenure. She was named Gannett Pacific Division manager of the year for her work in restructuring four ad departments and 190 employees into a team-based sales force.
As national advertising manager at the San Diego Union-Tribune, Hefley co-chaired the newspaper's task force on the 2003 Super Bowl, was publisher of a niche publication on health and fitness, and increased revenue in several national ad categories.
Before joining Wick, Hefley worked for Suburban Newspapers of America's former advertising division, LocalPoint Media, for more than two years, ending there as chief operating officer and director of sales. LocalPoint represented more than 900 suburban and community newspapers. Hefley's role in national sales focused on travel and tourism, entertainment, major retail and financial services.
She and her husband, David, live in Tucson. They are the parents of two adult children and one grandchild. Hefley works from both from her home and at the Tucson offices at Territorial Newspapers.

Digital Media Sales Manager
Keyes, a third-generation salesperson, was reared in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He was graduated from University of Arizona with degree in psychology and marketing, with minor in organizational behavior.
Keyes started his sales career with Ralston Purina. He next worked with Philips Lighting Company, becoming national sales manager for the Grocery Channel. He then moved to Merck Pharmaceuticals, selling cardiovascular medicine to cardiologists. All of those roles included promotions that had him living in Utah, Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Missouri, New Jersey and Arizona.
Since then, he has been involved in digital ad sales for TNI, The Santa Fe New Mexican/Taos News, and, most recently, Territorial Newspapers. He is married to Lorenza Keyes and has two children, one a New York City police detective and the other an elementary school teacher in San Jose, Calif. He has four grandchildren. He is a hiker, cyclist, tennis player and is an avid University of Arizona Wildcat fan.

Editorial Director Clay Lambert has worked in daily and weekly newspapers for more than 25 years.
Lambert has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Colorado State University, where he served as editor-in-chief of the daily Collegian.
After college, he worked for nearly two decades as both a reporter and editor for dailies within the Gannett and Cox chains. He served as government reporter, assistant sports editor and senior writer for the Gainesville Times in suburban Atlanta. Lambert also worked for several years as a general assignment reporter for the Palm Beach Post in South Florida. In addition, he served as an editor for the Independent Newspaper Group in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Lambert has been editor of Wick's Half Moon Bay Review for the last nine years, a period that included a complete redesign of the paper and substantial improvement of the online presence. The Review has earned more than 40 top awards from the California Newspaper Publishers' Association under his tenure and his former Review reporters now work at the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Google News and in online news. In 2010, the Local Media Association (then the Suburban Newspaper Association) named Lambert the nation's top small weekly newspaper editor.
He is the proud father of a 14-year-old daughter.

Controller Ronald J. Lee is the controller of Wick Communications Company. He joined the company in July 1995. He lives in Sierra Vista, Arizona, where Wick is headquartered.
Lee has held a variety of positions in both private and public accounting. He is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and holds an accounting & finance degree from the University of Arizona. He is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having spent five years on active duty.
Lee is a member of the International Newspaper Financial Executive Association. He is also an associate faculty member of Cochise College, where he teaches business courses.

Technology Manager Deborah Marple is IT Manager of Wick Communications Company. She also plays a key role in Human Resources, managing the payroll and benefits functions of the company.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Deborah joined the company in May, 1988, in the classified department at the Sierra Vista Herald in Sierra Vista, Arizona. In October of the same year, she moved into the business office in accounts receivable. Marple was then was promoted to Business Manager in 1996.
Deborah transferred to the corporate office in 1998 as an accountant and assistant to the Human Resources Manager. She attended Cochise College in Sierra Vista, receiving Unix System Administrator certification and coursework in computer networking and technology.
Deborah was named IT Manager in June, 2003.

Digital Media Manager Christian Ramirez is the Digital Media Manager of Wick Communications Company. He joined the company in April 2008 and is based at Territorial Newspapers offices in Tucson, Arizona.
Prior to Wick Communications Ramirez had worked for the Nogales International as their webmaster on and off since 2001, and had worked for Wick Communications on a freelance basis. While working in Nogales Ramirez developed a strong passion for the newspaper industry.
Ramirez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the Southwest University of Visual Arts.

Director of Human Resources Tom joined Wick Communications in Sierra Vista in August of 2003. Tom provides direction and support to all divisions in general HR, training, employee relations and safety.
Riebock left a successful management consulting practice in the Chicago area to join Wick. He is the current chairman of the Human Resources Committee for the Inland Press Association. He has also served as the Director of Human Resources for Copley Newspapers in Illinois and as the Director of Employee and Labor Relations for the Columbus Dispatch in Columbus Ohio. He started his career in city management in his hometown of Decatur Illinois. Tom has a BA from Bradley University and a MA from the University of Illinois. He is married to Kathleen and has two children.

CFO Don Root is the CFO of Wick News Corporation. He joined the company in August, 1975.
After graduating from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona with a degree in Accountancy in 1972 he worked for NAU in the Business Office. He started with Wick newspapers as Business Manager of the Sierra Vista Herald in 1975 where he worked with several Wick newspapers.
In 1984 Wick Communications was formed and he became the Group Controller and CFO. Wick News was formed in 1999 and he was appointed Treasurer. He is now Assistant Secretary-Treasurer for Wick News.
He is a member of the International Newspaper Financial Executive Association.

Director of Circulation Jeff Scott is the Director of Circulation for Wick Communications. He is a resource for circulation training and development for all Circulation Managers, Publishers and Group Managers in Wick Communications.
Jeff joined the company in 2004 as the Circulation Manager of the Sierra Vista Herald/Bisbee Daily Review. He has previously worked as Corporate Circulation Manager for Paxton Media in Paducah, KY. Jeff has also served as publisher of the Dyersburg State Gazette in Dyersburg, TN and the Daily Citizen in Searcy, AR.
Jeff lives in Sierra Vista, AZ and works from the Sierra Vista Herald office.

Web Developer James Werner is a Web Developer for Wick Communications Company. He joined the company in July 2010.
After moving toTucson in 2006, James joined Territorial Newspapers as the List Coordinator for Inside Tucson Business. During this time James also provided page design and layout for Tucson Weekly and Inside Tucson Business as well as handling Webmaster responsibilities for Tucson Weekly.
Prior to working with Territorial Newspapers, James worked at Carhartt, Inc., as a Marketing Coordinator in the Co-op Advertising division in Dearborn, Michigan. At Carhartt James filled a void created by extreme sudden growth in the company and was instrumental in helping the marketing department manage the workload and new influx of data. James created numerous systems and tools for sales and marketing staff allowing better control and visibility for marketing-related projects.

Web Developer Jeff Turman is a Web Developer for Wick Communications Company. He joined the company in July 2012 and is based at the Territorial Newspapers offices in Tucson, Arizona.
Jeff has worked in journalism and technology since 1997. Prior to working with Wick, he worked as a web dev for Tucson Newspapers where he created marketing tools, content sites, interactive ads and news widgets. He continues to educate himself in computer languages and microprocessor programming.
Jeff is also an adventure racer and extreme distance runner.
